Material: It is completely constructed of ¼” Steel Plate with a ¼” Steel Plate Door using (3) 1” Dead Bolts on inside of door. Seating is bolted into the unit and constructed of 10 gauge steel.
Safety Features:
Our shelters are designed with the following safety features:
*Multiple air vents have been added to ensure proper ventilation
*A secondary escape hatch in the door may be removed from the inside or outside of the shelter.
*Our shelter has passed Texas Tech Wind & Engineering Testing and meets FEMA guidelines
Appearance:
Our storm shelters are painted Interior and Exterior with Polyurethane Paint in Earth tones.
Installation:
The Menard Storm Shelter comes with an anchoring system for mounting the unit.
The shelter may be easily installed into an existing garage, new construction or may be installed on a concrete pad as a free standing unit.
